So….Who is Phillip Coleman Jr.?

Phillip is a native Mississippian he was born in Raymond, Mississippi to the Late Great Bishop Phillip Coleman, Sr, and Sarah L. Coleman. Phillip, the oldest son of fourteen siblings, was his mother's shadow growing up in the kitchen in the Coleman’s home. It was known for good cooking. Whether at Greater Bethlehem Temple Church Or in his mother's kitchen, Phillip Jr. was somewhere helping Mother Sarah’s with the family meals.

This began such a tradition in the Coleman’s household that everyone knew Mother Coleman’s for her cakes, pies, cookies and all those one-of-a-kind meals she has prepared over the years for
many people who have been to their home and the church here in the Jackson Metropolitan Area. Bishop Phillip Coleman Sr. believed in feeding all who came through his door. Phillips Jr. has become a master baker in his own right. Some would say he is second to none.
